Mandala Pies was founded in a small one bedroom apartment during the summer of 2017. Branch was just four months old and Caitlin was a brand new stay-at-home mom. Much different than her previous lifestyle in the army, the new veteran decided to make something sweet for her husband as an anniversary gift: a key lime pie. The first pie was terrible and within 24 hours she had tried 24 different renditions of the recipe! Finally, "The Floridian" was created. Two weeks later she was selling it in a local farmers market in King George, Virginia. She's been working on it every day since and Mandala Pies has now expanded significantly with two brick and mortar bakeries, national shipping, a children's culinary program, and of course a lot more key lime pie.

Driven by a desire to give back, a portion of our profits goes towards our Little Whisks Culinary School—an initiative close to our hearts that we created after learning our oldest child is autistic. Through this program, we aim to inspire and educate people of all ages with emotional, cognitive, and physical disabilities about the joys of make food, empowering them with valuable life-skills and fostering an inclusive environment that's equitable, appropriately challenging, and promotes social-emotional growth.
